Virtual Viewing and Milton Keynes
Although the company has grown since its inception, Virtual Viewing has its roots in Milton Keynes, a town with which the company will always have a very special relationship.

We’re proud to be not just the city’s premier provider of technology solutions, nor merely of the extensive list of important clients that we have gained in one of the UK’s economy’s greatest success stories: we’re also proud to be actively involved in the community of our city.

The company has a long history of local sponsorship and community involvement. To give just a few examples:
  • Stewart Bailey, our MD, works closely with Countec, providing teaching to schoolchildren on different aspects of business, and was invited to be a keynote speaker at their 2006 Awards Ceremony
  • Stewart is also a graduate of the Common Purpose Matrix programme and an invited contributor to ongoing events; during his time on the programme, he led a project to design an official logo for Milton Keynes’ 40th Birthday – subsequently launched in the city centre
  • Following on from the official logo design, Stewart was also Co-Chair of the Milton Keynes Consortium, organisers of The Big Moo – the official celebrations for Milton Keynes 40th Birthday, and a major day of events held in the city on 23 June 2007
  • We have been a sponsor of MK Lions, the city’s basketball team, since 2003
  • We’ve also worked closely with the local football team, MK Dons, including installing a webcam to enable team fans to watch their new stadium grow inch-by-inch
  • We designed and launched the website for Milton Keynes Racial Equality Council in 2007
  • We designed and developed the MK SNAP website, and continue to provide free web services to support this highly deserving local charity; we also arranged a high-profile visit to MK SNAP by racing driver, Damon Hill, to raise awareness of the charity and its work
  • In addition to development of the network’s website, we are a founder member of SPARC, the regional network for knowledge-based and technology-led businesses
  • The company has also provided sponsorship – and musicianship! – to The Will Snap Band, a group of city-based business people who have pooled their considerable musical talents and expertise to raise over £30,000 for Willen Hospice and MK SNAP
  • We have worked closely with Milton Keynes College on several projects: building a site designed by the College for the Chernobyl Relief Foundation; working with their Media students to film and record the annual Will Snap concerts and The Big Moo 2007
  • We are working closely with International Department of the Open University in connection with our increasing activities in Europe.
Where some company’s definition of ‘giving something back’ may be fairly conventional, Virtual Viewing helped to organise something rather more unique – a free birthday party for the entire city!
